One extraordinary country.
From the world's oldest desert to wildlife-packed plains — every corner of Namibia holds a different wonder.
Sossusvlei & Namib-Naukluft
The iconic red dunes of Sossusvlei are among the tallest in the world. Dawn light paints them in extraordinary shades of orange and crimson. Dead Vlei's bleached camel thorn skeletons make for one of the most photographed landscapes on Earth.
Etosha National Park
One of Africa's finest game reserves, Etosha centres on a vast salt pan visible from space. Elephant, lion, rhino, leopard, and cheetah congregate at the park's waterholes — making for unrivalled wildlife viewing, especially in the dry season.
Skeleton Coast
A hauntingly beautiful stretch of Atlantic coastline where shipwrecks rust among seal colonies and desert-adapted lions prowl the dunes. Remote, wild, and almost entirely untouched — it's Namibia at its most raw.
Fish River Canyon
The second-largest canyon in the world stretches 160 km through Namibia's south. Sunrise from the rim is breathtaking — layers of ancient rock glowing gold in the early light. A landmark of geological wonder.
Damaraland
Home to desert-adapted elephants and ancient San rock engravings at Twyfelfontein, Damaraland is a region of stark, otherworldly beauty. Granite inselbergs rise from flat plains, and desert-adapted rhino roam freely.
Caprivi Strip
A narrow finger of land bordered by four countries and two great rivers, the Caprivi Strip bursts with lush floodplains and rich birdlife — a dramatic contrast to Namibia's drier regions. Excellent for mokoro safaris and fishing.
NamibRand Nature Reserve
One of southern Africa's largest private reserves and a designated Dark Sky Reserve — the stargazing here is extraordinary. Oryx, springbok, and eland move through a landscape of red dunes and open grasslands.
Central Highlands & Windhoek
Namibia's capital and surrounding highlands offer a civilised gateway to the wilder regions beyond. German colonial architecture, excellent restaurants, and nearby guest farms provide a gentle introduction to the country.
Lüderitz & Aus
A remote harbour town with well-preserved German colonial architecture set against a stark desert backdrop. Nearby Kolmanskop — a diamond ghost town being swallowed by sand dunes — is an unforgettable photographic subject.
